Şükrü Nart, living in Denizli, applied to the Neurology Department of Private Egekent Hospital with complaints such as balance disorder, personality changes, and inability to walk. Referred to Brain and Nerve Surgery Specialist Assoc. Prof. Memduh Kerman, the patient left the hospital walking after a successful surgery, despite having arrived in a wheelchair.
Brain and Nerve Surgery Specialist Assoc. Prof. Memduh Kerman stated that the patient had come to them with complaints such as balance disorder, personality changes, and inability to walk, and added: “In the CT scan performed, a 4 by 5 centimeter mass with bleeding inside was detected at the base of the brain, known as the left anterior skull base, and the patient was referred to us. After examining the patient in the brain and nerve surgery department, we recommended the removal of the brain tumor. With the patient’s consent, we removed the tumor in the anterior cranial fossa using microsurgical methods.”

Evaluating the patient’s recovery process after the surgery, Brain and Nerve Surgery Specialist Assoc. Prof. Memduh Kerman said, “Mr. Şükrü, who underwent a serious surgery, began to walk one day after the operation. Three days later, we discharged him with surgical recovery and sent him home. When he came back two weeks later, we removed his stitches. His wound was in very good condition and healed quickly. We wish him a healthy life.”
