In the event organized by Denizli Private Egekent Hospital for the students of Private Ferhatlar Educational Institutions, the importance of hand hygiene and how to maintain it was explained.

During the event held at Ferhatlar Educational Institutions, Egekent Hospital’s Head Nurse Hülya Koçer and Education & Infection Control Nurse Havva Demirel informed the students about hand hygiene and its importance.

Students of Ferhatlar College had fun while learning, as they conducted a finger-paint experiment with Nurse Havva Demirel to observe how germs settle on hands. In the continuation of the experiment, the students learned how to protect themselves from diseases with hand hygiene and how to wash their hands properly. Emphasizing the shortcomings in handwashing, Nurse Havva Demirel stated: “Handwashing should include the finger gaps and wrists.”

**“The Last Two Years Showed Us How Important Hygiene Is”**
Pointing out the difficulties brought by the virus that entered our lives in the last two years and how cleanliness helps protection, Egekent Hospital’s Head Nurse Hülya Koçer said: “The last two years have shown us how important hygiene is. It is possible to prevent diseases especially with hand hygiene. We must always wash our hands after coming from outside, after using the toilet, before meals, and after touching our hair.”

At the end of the fun event, disinfectants were gifted to the students. The event concluded with the distribution of “Handwashing Certificates” to the students and a group photo session.
