Biography

Born in Ataeymir (Karacasu, Aydın) in 1960. He completed primary school in Ataeymir and his secondary and high school education as a boarding student at Ortaklar Teacher Training School. He entered Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1978 and graduated as a general practitioner in 1984. He began working as a physician at the Koldere (Çarşamba/Samsun) Health Center. He completed his military service as a reserve officer garrison physician between 1985–1986. In 1988 he was appointed to the Karacasu Health Center. In 1989 he started his residency in the Neurosurgery Department of Fırat University Faculty of Medicine, becoming a neurosurgeon in 1996. Between 1996–2002 he worked for six years as a faculty member at Süleyman Demirel University. He left the university in 2002. Between 2002–2010 he worked for eight years as a specialist physician at Isparta State Hospital, and also ran a private practice during this period. In 2010 he retired and began working at a private hospital in Istanbul. Between 2012–2016 he worked as a faculty member at Fatih University Hospital. He received the title of associate professor in 2013. He has been working at Özel Egekent Hospital in Denizli since 2017. He has 35 articles and 45 papers published in national and international peer-reviewed journals.
