The Psychology department offers counselling for emotional, behavioural and relationship difficulties that do not require medication.
Our psychologists hold sessions that help people cope with the difficulties they are experiencing.
Psychological Counselling Services
In individual sessions, the client's difficulties are listened to and the areas where support is needed are identified together.
Sessions are conducted in accordance with the principle of confidentiality.
What Can You Get Support With?
Some of the areas in which the Psychology department can help are:
- Managing anxiety and stress
- Relationship and communication difficulties
- Adjustment and behavioural problems
- Loss and bereavement
- Self-confidence and motivation
The Therapy Process
Therapy may involve a set number of sessions, depending on the client's needs.
Progress is reviewed regularly; where necessary, we work together with the psychiatry department.
