Internal Medicine is a broad medical discipline concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of a wide range of conditions seen in adults.
Our patients' general health is assessed holistically; where necessary, treatment is carried out in cooperation with the relevant subspecialties.
Who Does Internal Medicine Care For?
The Internal Medicine department cares for patients whose complaints are not limited to a single organ system, who have general health problems, or who have more than one chronic condition.
Where necessary, patients are referred to the relevant subspecialties so that their care proceeds as a coherent whole.
Monitoring Chronic Conditions
Regular monitoring of chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, thyroid disease and raised cholesterol is important for detecting possible complications early.
In our department these conditions are monitored at regular intervals and the treatment plan is updated when needed.
Check-up and General Health Assessment
The tests carried out as part of a general health check provide information about a person's current health and help identify possible risk factors at an early stage.
How often and how extensively checks are carried out is decided by the doctor according to the person's age and medical history.
